I am on the lookout for experienced Best Interest Assessors to join the team working for Milton Keynes Council. Please see below as to what the council are looking for and can offer:

* Offer ongoing support to our Independent BIAs and we consider them part of our team.

* Provide free in house and online training for Liquid Logic our recording system ( which is widely used in the UK) and for this we give certificates of attendance that can be used for proof CPD.

* Launching a BIA forum for a platform for learning, CPD and support ( training sessions have certs of attendance ) to assist independent workers who can at times feel isolated form peers.

* A dedicated member of staff to support all the BIAs during working hours and out of hours support can be arranged by prior appointment and agreement.

In return I am seeking proactive Independent BIAs who will ( dependent upon any national or local restrictions) undertake face to face quality assessments in a timely way. They must also be proactive in the assessments they are able to undertake on a weekly basis. On a Monday every week an email is sent out for availability and they need to respond to that if they have availability or not – this is important as we will not chase workers for their availability.
