About the role
Our belief is, to deliver great care, you employ great people! We are currently recruiting for a fantastic Area Manager to oversee our services in our midlands, Oxfordshire & West Berkshire area.
Duties are but not limited to: –
To be responsible for ensuring that each service in their designated area is run in a safe, caring, effective, responsive and well-led manner.
To supervise and support the Service Managers in the fulfilment of all areas of their role.
To take the lead in all safeguarding, complaints, concerns and other areas of governance and compliance.
To work with the Directors to develop the business plan and ensure that budgets are adhered to
To take the lead in Quality Assurance for their area
To ensure effective staff retention of employees by having planned induction, probation, supervisions, and annual reviews
To liaise with resourcing to ensure effective recruitment of new employees
To adhere to all policies and procedures issued by the company, embedding them into good practice across the organisation.
To effectively chair and participate in meetings, both in house and with other professional bodies, ensuring that professionalism is maintained at all times
To carry out any other tasks and duties necessary to ensure the effective and efficient running of the organisation.
The ideal candidate would be someone who has:
Full driving licence with access to a vehicle for work purposes.
At least five years’ experience in a senior management capacity working directly with people who have learning disabilities and or Autism, other service users groups will be considered.
A care management qualification QCF Level 5 or equivalent
An understanding of working in the private care sector.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
A self-motivated individual who is organised, flexible and caring.
An active team player but also able to work on own initiative
Excellent literacy skills and ability to write reports.
Committed to high standards of care delivery and working with the individual in a person centred way.
