Seven Social Care is looking for a qualified and experienced Service Manager to fill an exclusive opportunity specialising in the wellbeing of Adults as part of the Joint Learning Disabilities Service in Milton Keynes.
The role:
To ensure an effective and well-coordinated delivery of specialist community services for adults with a learning disability in Milton Keynes
To act as the " Registered Manager" for the purposes of CQC registration and ensure evidence of compliance in relation to the registered activities of the CTALD
To manage a team of 4 managers, consisting of professionals with backgrounds in the NHS and social care.
To ensure that the required service elements are compliant with NICE guidance and local Clinical Governance expectations and requirements
To ensure that budget planning/build activities accurately reflect the predictable aspects of the growing pressures on the service budgets.
Accountable and reporting to the Head of Service- Learning Disability Services. This includes deputising for the Head of Service as required.
Key Responsibilities:
To ensure that CTALD works in a person centred way to effectively to meet the needs health and social care of adults with a learning disability in Milton Keynes.
To ensure that the CTALD management team is supervised, supported and motivated to deliver an ever improving standard of service. This will include regular supervision and appraisal
To ensure that the whole of CTALD staffing is compliant with mandatory training including CNWL-MK requirements and CPD plans of staff match with service priorities.
To manage identified social care purchasing budgets of £6m and staffing budgets of approximately £2m and to have an effective overview of all CTALD cost centres, supporting cost centre managers as requirement to ensure accurate forecasting in maintained.
Ensure that quality audits are completed regularly to support service improvements and comply with Care Quality Commission (CQC) audit requirements.
Ensure that the necessary data is collected in relation to performance indicators required by the NHS and MK Council elements of the service.
To ensure that there is a timely and coordinated response to all Safeguarding referrals within the service.
Assessments, care planning and case work reviews for social care and health staff are conducted in line with agreed standards and performance indicators are met
To provide leadership within the service on identified areas of work. This includes Safeguarding investigations and complaints.
Applicant Requirements:
Qualifications: Social Work Degree approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Experience: Experience working as a Service Manager at the head of an Adults Service.
Compliance: Up to date HCPC registration and DBS.
Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
