In this challenging position, you will act as an Account Manager responsible for looking after fleet customers, providing information to customers including quotes and terms of business and generally encouraging those responsible for fleet purchasing decisions to consider Volkswagen Group vehicles over competitors.
The critical success factor, in addition to proactive database management is being able to identify opportunities to provide either a quote or a demonstration vehicle, effectively being a major part of the overall sales team.
Through thorough qualification and building relationships with prospective companies, you will identify sales opportunities.
Attention to detail is of paramount importance.
Virtual Account Manager Responsibilities:
Account management of existing and new accounts across the UK, maintaining relationships through regular, targeted contact
Keeping on top of market trends, maintaining product knowledge and understanding competitors current and future products
Analysing company rate books and vehicle bandings to position the brand accordingly
Making decisions on what level of support to provide customers and submitting bespoke terms to place the brand in the best possible position against competitors
Managing existing and new relationships
Working closely with the client to discuss large opportunities
Discussing and assessing any historical issues, poor relationships and loss of confidence with lapsed customers
Virtual Account Manager Requirements:
High levels of attention to detail, particularly with respect to error checking and accuracy with numbers
Strong IT skills and the ability to manage a database
Good sales skills, particularly the ability to identify opportunities, cross-sell etc.
Calm and enthusiastic, with a genuine interest in cars / ability to assimilate the brand quickly and effectively

The role is home-based during COVID-19 (you will be provided with all the necessary equipment and training). Once safe to do so, the role will be based within our Milton Keynes office.
