My client, a leading Optical products manufacturer based in the Amersham area, are currently looking for a Trade Marketing Manager to join their busy and growing team and help the company to achieve their yearly sales targets.
The figure of trade Marketing manager (TMM) is essentially a SALES position and its objective is to help the company to achieve the annual sales budget.
The TMM need to spend 90% of its time developing and supporting the sales and just the 10% left for trade communication activities.
TMM is also in charge of helping the sales team in all its daily needs to make easier their job in order to help to achieve their sales budget.
SPECIFIC & DETAILED RESPONSOBILITIES
– STRATEGY: Working together with the Country Manager, the TMM will participate in the identification & definition of the annual strategy of the subsidiary and will also participate in the sales and marketing budget creation. The TMM will attend the annual meetings of the budget meeting.
– MKTG BUDGET: The TMM is responsible for the creation, monitoring, management and control of the mktg budget of the subsidiary of the part corresponding to the BTL, and will be responsible for giving the appropriate explanations to each Brand Mgr of each brand.
POINT OF SALES Material: The TMM will be responsible for:
Orders purchasing forecast for each brand
To define the quantity range of the automatic kit of each Brand
To allocate, control and monitoring the quota of LARGE windows displays per rep and brand.
To create all the communication materials that sales reps will use for showing to the customers the new POP , KITS composition and brand IMAGES ( upload it to the ipad)
To inform periodically to the BM of each Brand the inputs and needs for the POS of their market.
– IMAGE CUSTOMIZATIONS:
WEB ORDERS:
Negotiation, management and control of the web supplier for customized image to the customers.
To prepare all the cropping images per season and have the authorization from the BM before upload it to the platform.
To decide and allocate an initial quota for each rep and recharge the quota in terms of pictures received.
To coordinate the oversize installation imagen with a local supplier.
VISIBILITY PROGRAM:
To find a national supplier that will be able to follow all the works that the VM program needs in terms of visibility.
To design a draft of the personalization and coordinate the production and set up.
– PROMOTIONS
STANDARD PROMOS (YEARLY SCHEDULED): To create a yearly promos calendar by quarter period (cross selling promos, staff incentive, consumer GWP promos or promos by brand). TMM is responsible of the design, development and communication of the action.
CUSTOMIZED PROMOS (REACTIVE ONES): To design, develop, implement and communicate individual promos with the aim to solve specific problems because of the underperforming sales of:
Reps
Areas
Customers (Independents, Buying Groups and Chains)
Brands
– ROI ANALISYS:
To analyse all the promos and visibility result (by customer) when finished the activity in order to evaluate the profitability.
SALES INFO ANALISYS: The TMM have to follow the sales evolution in order to identify problems in terms of areas, brands or channel and is also the responsible to propose actions destined to solve it.
PRODUCT: The TMM is the link between the reps and the BM for all the market products needs in terms of design, price and quality.
CUSTOMER LOCAL EVENTS. The TMM is the responsible of all the customer local events organization:
Trade shows
Trunk shows
Product / brand presentation
SALES MEETINGS: The TMM is the responsible of the sales meeting organization.
PRESENTATIONS & REPORTS: The TMM will support the Country Manager in the elaboration of the presentations to customers, sales team and HQ.
PRINTED SELLING TOOLS: The TMM will create and produce all the printed materials (brand books, visit cards, promo leaflets, yearly agreements, …) for the sales team.
TRADE PRESS: TMM have to define a yearly calendar of insertions in the trade magazines and also have to manage all the different brand editorials.
REPORTING
The TMM depends hierarchically on the Country Manager and functionally it reports also to the Western Europe TMM, who will be informed periodically about the trade marketing activities and will share the main information about its activities in its market.
