Our client is a specialist call centre and due to continued expansion they have an immediate position for a Telephone Sales Agent.

The role will be initially based from home and then once Covid has finished and things get back to normal it will then be office based.

Duties will include:

1) Dealing with inbound calls from customers to assist and provide quotations and policies for various insurance products.

2) Making outbound calls to offer insurance quotations to existing customers and other warm leads

3) Making accurate, rapid cost calculations and providing customers with quotations.

4) Ensuring customers are provided with the information they need to make an informed decision and purchase

5) Identifying customers’ needs, highlighting product features and benefits of policies.

6) Ensuring that customers have all the information they need to make an informed decision and purchase.

7) Maintain customer records and take telephone payments in compliance with security protocols

8) Utilising skills learnt in training, closing sales using a consultative and confident approach.

9) Regularly achieving sales, service and productivity targets.

10) Respond to and follow up sales and/ or service enquiries using appropriate methods of communication.

11) Ensure existing information held is accurate and up-to-date.

12) Ensure that you maintain an up-to-date knowledge of our products, processes and industry developments.

13) Ensure all company and departmental policies and procedures are adhered too.

Requirements:

1) Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

2) A good level of numeracy and excellent attention to detail.

3) The ability to work in a team environment.

4) Ability to adapt to changes within a fast paced working environment .

Hours of work will be on a rotational shift pattern, shifts will be 9-5, 10-6, 12-8 and Saturdays on rota 9-5 (although current shifts through covid will just be Monday to Friday 9 -5 and 10-6 shifts with no Saturdays).

Candidates applying for this role should have a previous sales background in sales, telesales, telemarketing or even possibly retail sales.
