Position: Proactive Sales Manager
Location: Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire
Job type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 per annum

About the role:
Routeco is looking for an energetic, conscientious and motivating leader to create and manage a new team of Internal Proactive Sales staff. You’ll be joining a dynamic nationwide sales network of 250 people at one of the UK's leading distributors of industrial automation and control products.
The Sales Manager will inspire and motivate the entire team, working particularly closely with the Regional Team Leaders, building activity plans and focussed product marketing campaigns, daily and weekly target setting for the team, and ownership for the performance of the team.

Responsibilities:
– Responsibility for developing the customer base, defining and delivering the strategy for sales growth.
– Conducts regular sales meetings with the team to set daily/weekly/monthly targets and objectives
– Timely delivery of good quality sales reports to the Sales Management team, on progress of the initiative and activity of the team
– Prepare and implement an approved business plan, to ensure the desired level of sales and gross profit targets are achieved, in line with the Company’s objectives.
– To network with all key stakeholders within our business environment to ensure maximum return on our business goals
– Create and maintain relationships so you need to enjoy dealing with people and be confident that you can make a good impression.
– Take charge of your personal development and contribute to the evaluation of performance in line with Routeco’s core competencies and learning and development framework.
– Observe Health & Safety policy and procedures
About you:
– The ability to create sales plans and strategies and communicate this at all levels
– Excellent business knowledge to communicate plans to all key departments
– Experience in a similar Proactive sales environment will be a major benefit when you are dealing with clients
– Excellent leadership skills
