Sales Engineer – Account Management – Mechanical

We are looking to recruit a Sales Engineer on a permanent basis. We are keen to speak with candidates who have a background within Mechanical Engineering, whether education or qualified by expereince. My client is open to speak with candidates with a background in Mechanical Engineering looking to move into an office based position.

As a Sales Engineer you will be working in a small niche team, reporting directly to the Sales Director.

Duties:

* Conduct commercial negotiations with new and existing clients.

* Generate commercial / technical tenders based on client requirements.

* Process purchase orders onto MRP system.

* Conduct contract reviews.

* Identify opportunities to grow business with existing clients.

* Communicate client needs and requirements to the business.

* Provide commercial support where required.

* Service 6 to 8 key clients to ensure deadlines are met.

* Participate in client interface meetings to support the sales and project engineering departments.

* Participate in offsite meetings/exhibitions.

Experience:

* Excellent verbal communication skills.

* Good writing skills, with the ability to write technical quotes for clients.

* Business Development / Account Management experience.

* Project management skills.

* Ability to read engineering drawings.

* Have a mechanical/Engineering aptitude.

* Self-motivated.

* Experience of working in an engineering/manufacturing environment.

* Hold a recognised Engineering qualification.

* Knowledge/principals of hydraulics or pressure retaining components would be highly desired.

Working hours – 07:30 to 16:30 (Monday to Thursday) and 07:30 to 13:30 (Fridays)
