We are looking for an ambitious, dynamic, and successful Sales Leader from the metal cutting industry who is looking to step up into a full P&L Country General Management position. This multi-million global engineering group are renowned as a thought leader in carbide cutting tools, metal cutting, material science, engineering capability and wear parts. They want to recruit a World Class commercial leader to continue to grow their multimillion UK business in return they offer full autonomy to drive and grow the UK and Ireland markets and fantastic open-ended earning potential. You will understand engineering and the metal cutting industry, you will have extensive leadership and a proven track record in high value new client acquisition in critical engineering markets such as aerospace, defense, energy, mining, oil and gas, general engineering, transport.

The company are a market leading global manufacturer of cutting tools and cutting systems, their products utilise tungsten, titanium and carbide alloys for long lasting high performance cutting tools. There tools can cut steel with very high accuracy and precision. They have invested massively in R&D and working with major blue chip engineering OEMs they have developed a product range which is the envy of the metal cutting and materials wear parts sectors. The role
Head the UK and Ireland operation
Part of the Global Senior Management team
Commercial General Management position
Define and deliver UK growth strategy – detailed Action Plans
Manage UK M&A activity
Work with Global Key Accounts
Full profit and loss responsibility for the company’s UK-based sales operation, serving the UK and Eire.
Leading the sales team, you will drive sales and increase turnover and profitability
You will manage and grow the company’s channel and distribution partners and sales agents
Personal responsibility for managing and developing key accounts and leading high value bids (from pre-sales discovery to presentation);
Full responsibility for quality, product development, warehousing, and customer services
Full GM responsibility P&L, HR, Finance, Recruitment, IT, Legal, Marketing, lean manufacturing, purchasing, Succession planning, Governance and Country compliance
Strategic responsibility for budgets and growth, with P & L responsibility, 30M +
Working with the global management team, contributing to the strategic direction of the business;
Technical authority on the company’s products and solutions for the region – advising customers as required.
Ensure the company’s sales plan is adhered to
Managing sales leads and pipeline is in order to grow the company
You
* World Class Commercial Leader from Cutting Tools, Metal cutting, engineering
* Our client will consider any engineering commercial leadership experience the main consideration is the calibre
* Outstanding track record of sales growth within critical engineering markets e.g. aerospace, transport, defense, mining, metals industry, materials and wear parts specialisms
* Business or engineering degree (or equivalent working knowledge); ideally MBA
* Proven track record of Sales Management success leading a sales team, motivation, and development, upskilling
* Track record of implementing robust commercial and sales processes
* M&A Experience
* International Sales experience
* Senior Director gravitas kudos commercially savvy
* Lean Manufacturing, quality, and product development
* Strong commercial management abilities, including bid preparation, team leadership and key account management, complex contract negotiation
* Experience of sales budgeting and forecasting; P&L
* A clear aptitude for remote management and operating within matric functions;
* Willingness to travel regularly.
