Job Description:
This is a new role in the business and should provide an exciting challenge to the right person.
‘Sales’ in our business is truly consultative, to the extent that it leans more towards consultancy work than traditional software sales. As such we are looking for people with the relevant skills and desire to learn, rather than simply sales experience held. We work with potential customers to understand their needs and consult with them around the changes needed to meet their required outcomes. Only when trust has been built and a mutual understanding of the potential solutions reached (with input from colleagues) will a sale be likely to happen. As such we are looking for people with a broad set of skills that are genuinely interested in the social care sector and how they personally might be able to deliver a positive change to the market.
Ultimately the role is focussed on growing our market share and revenues, however the key elements of the role will be broad:
Marketing – working closely with our marketing & lead gen teams to shape our messaging and tell a compelling story that truly engages the social care sector in the challenges it faces as well as potential solutions
Sales – working with and within our sales function to bring new customers on board with a clear vision of how we can transform their social care service
Customers – working closely with Account Managers and delivery experts in ensuring we are truly supporting our customers (Local Authorities) and delivering genuine value in line with their strategic and operational objectives
Product – part of leadership group for the product (technology and services) to ensure that our product meets a genuine need in the market and that it evolves at a pace to ensure we are perpetually at the forefront of thinking in the sector
Responsibilities:
* Develop a solid understanding of strategic and operational drivers in social care
* Act as voice of the market to inform business strategy
* National coverage, travel throughout the UK may be required
* Devise and execute growth plan for the social care division
* Forge meaningful relationships with key customer and industry contacts
* Develop formal and informal partnerships with contacts and organisations that may support our future endeavours
* Shape product direction and inform product development
* Manage full end-to-end sales cycle from lead qualification to contract (with support of wider sales team)
