Role Profile
Bunzl Catering Supplies, part of the Bunzl Catering & Hospitality Division, is the leading distributor of disposables, packaging and hygiene solutions to the hospitality and catering sectors in the UK. Delivering to a variety of customers in both the private and public sector from small independent cafe owners, local health trusts and schools to national hotel and restaurant chains.
As the exclusive recruitment partner for Bunzl Catering, Cast UK are leading the search for a National Account Manager. The incumbent to this role will take responsibility for the hotel sector. The main objective for this role is to retain customer base and achieve sales turnover margin % in line with the budget, and develop new opportunities from within your market sector.
Key Responsibilities
Achieve sales and profit targets on portfolio customers as set by the Bunzl Sales Director.
Increase turnover from existing accounts and from new business at appropriate % margin.
Maintain and drive growth of exclusive brand sales.
Continually seeks out opportunities whilst practising and encouraging a culture of strategic excellence.
Motivate, encourage, train and support others in order for them to meet their objectives.
Continuous development of a prospect list of new customers in the relevant sector.
Liaise with other departments ensure the smooth running and improvement of the accounts and business on every level.
Provide satisfactory solutions to all business challenges in situations involving the new and unexpected.
Work with core manufacturers and procurement to achieve maximum profit opportunities both new and existing.
Generate enquiries and respond to RFQ's/Tenders as and when required.
Produce a monthly sales report for line manager.
Provide a weekly itinerary schedule in advance.
Produce reports to showcase market information and Customer and Competitor analysis
Regularly attend customer units to understand the business, build contacts and find opportunities.
Provide accurate information to ensure that bespoke and customer specific stock is managed and appropriate levels of stock are maintained for customers and the business.
Skills & Experience
Proven Account Management experience exceeding sales targets
A proven track record of building robust client relationships
Ability to recognise the value of understanding customers underlying, unexpressed needs and uncovers those to the benefit of the customer and the business
A passion for working within the hospitality industry
