Ford & Stanley have been appointed to conduct the search for a Key Account Manager for a company recently infused with new ambition and the financial backing to accompany it.
Ford & Stanley – The Rail Recruitment Experts are recruiting a Key Account Manager for a rapidly growing Rolling Stock overhaul company.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the newly appointed Head of Sales, this position is integral to the projected growth of the company.
The successful candidate will be given a stable of existing clients but will be given the freedom and backing to win new business in order to help the company grow.
Location (s):
UK based sales role however travel to/around London will be required on a regular basis.
Role and Responsibilities:
Account Management – this role will come with an existing client base, however the accounts will have room to grow with consultative selling.
Business Development – the company has ambitious growth plans so winning new business will be essential.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience within a sales role, ideally with an engineering background as they will be required to have in-depth technical conversations as part of the consultative sales process.
In addition, this candidate will have an entrepreneurial and resilient nature. The ambition and willingness to aim for big business will be essential in order to achieve the growth the company is planning.
Essentials
Technical sales experience, both account management and new business development.
A self-starter with the drive to court and win new business across the UK.
A consultative approach to selling.
Desirable
A background/qualification in engineering.
Experience in the Rail sector or a similar engineering discipline.
