Our Milton Keynes based client is looking for an Internal Sales Operator to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.

The right candidate will have experience dealing with merchants, have strong communication skills and a good knowledge of pricing. Experience working within the timber industry would also be desirable.

Position: Internal Sales Operator

Hours: 7.30-5pm Monday to Friday, 8-12pm on alternative Saturdays

Salary: Up to £28,000 per annum (DOE)

The job will involve…

* Handling incoming customer calls and emails promptly and professionally to maximise sales

* Proactively making outbound telesales calls at quieter times

* Communicating effectively with merchants and internal teams to ensure accurate processing of customer orders

* Working towards monthly budget objectives with the rest of the branch, focusing on increased margin and turnover

* Logging quotations and providing pricing quotes within agreed timescales

* Accurately pricing purchase orders to avoid supplier invoice enquiries

The successful person will…

* Have experience dealing with merchants (required)

* Have knowledge of, or experience working within, the timber industry (desirable)

* Possess exceptional communication skills

* Be confident with pricing

* Have a professional approach to their work
