One of our clients who's head office is located in Milton Keynes currently require a dynamic and energised individual to become their 'Head of Sales'.
You will be required to develop business plans and strategies to expand the customer base, maximising sales revenue and profit through the management and motivation of the Sales Team.

Key Features & Responsibilities
* Reporting to the MD of the business, but will also receive guidance from the Group Sales Director.
* Directly responsible for identifying and conquest sales to new contract hire and rental customers through a team of 15 field sales personnel who have the support of 23 branches for maintaining the relationships and service.
* Expected to develop and support short and long-term strategies to ensure the achievement of agreed budgets and targets within the UK.
* This will include but is not limited to:
* Developing a coherent sales strategy for the UK, in conjunction with the Senior Management Team.
* Forecast and track revenue performance against budgets and take appropriate action to support branches anticipated to under perform against sales targets.
* Position oneself as the ‘go-to’ point of reference for support, pricing and tactical campaign management.
* Develop a strong working relationship with the Regional General Managers, Branch Sales Managers, the Fleet / Contracts and used sales functions.
* Management of the team to identify and convert all new business opportunities and leads, whether they are sought out by the ASM’s or passed to them via the company’s Sales Information Database, in order to obtain and exceed revenue/sales targets.
* Maintain awareness of trade and economic conditions and ensure appropriate actions are taken to mitigate potential risk and to maximise opportunities. Identify market trends and patterns.
* Interact with other Group companies to promote mutual growth.
* Mentor, support, appraise and develop the Sales Team in order to ensure they are fully capable and competent.
* Maintain a constant awareness of all changing trade and field situations, to evaluate information and recommend or implement action or innovation to meet changing customer demands and circumstances.
* The Head of Sales, will support all aspects in respect of recruitment, retention and management of the sales team, including performance management.
* Knowledge & Experience
* This sales vacancy is subject to the individual holding a full and valid UK driving licence.
* Previous sales management and negotiating experience within a similar company or industry is preferred.
* Experience of multi-site operations is advantageous.
* Knowledge of the transport or distribution industry is desirable.
