Business Development Representative

£26,000 – £28,000 basic salary with additional £7k OTE

Are you energetic, driven with an unstoppable motivation to sell? Our client is looking for a Business Development Representative to play a leading role in their new business strategy. As the first point of contact for their Enterprise prospects, you will develop a thorough understanding of customer needs and create high revenue potential, qualified opportunities for the Enterprise Sales Team.
Key responsibilities of the Business Development Representative will include but are not limited to:
Creating a great first impression to prospects by providing them with a first-class customer experience.
Carrying out effective and intuitive sharing of Sales and Marketing content to nurture prospects and generate leads for Sales teams.
Nurturing warm prospects that are not yet ready to purchase by maintaining the relationships through email and phone conversations and assessing the prospect's pain points and drivers for the purchase decision.
Approaching companies by using outbound calling techniques.
Developing detailed understanding of customers buyer personas and leverage to increase insight of equivalent personas in opportunities generated for Sales teams.
Setting sales discovery meetings for the team of experts.
Utilising sales and marketing software platforms like Salesforce to maximise prospecting effectiveness.
Partnering with experienced Account Executives to increase their sales pipeline.
Continually increase product knowledge by working closely with the Training Specialist and Product Development teams.
Developing and executing prospect specific engagement plans so our client is front of mind through prospects buying cycles.
Engaging with prospects as part of follow up on marketing campaigns.
Keeping up with developments in issue and technology which impacts our customers' sectors, particularly Transport and Logistics.
Maintaining an appropriate level of daily, weekly, and monthly activity to develop business demand to help achieve monthly goals and targets.
Our Business Development Representative needs to have:
Experience of working in a B2B, Business Development, Inside Sales, Telemarketing or customer centric role.
A good knowledge and/or experience of UK Transport and Logistics Industry.
Demonstrate excellent understanding of Account Based Marketing in context of lead nurture and generation.
A strong desire and ability to hit targets and exceed expectations.
Good cold calling skills and technique.
Strong communication skills over-the-phone and when using video conferencing tools.
Ability to really listen to a prospect and their day-to-day challenges; identify the key needs of a prospect and translate those needs into possible solutions.
Build rapport with prospects and customers over the phone and via email.
Experience working with (url removed) (or equivalent CRM).
High energy, self-motivation that can thrive in a fun, face paced environment.
