My SIA ACS accredited client has been providing a range of crime prevention security services to businesses across the UK for more than 45 years. With their head office based in the West Midlands, they offer security services to businesses all over the UK. The services they provide include static guarding, Keyholding and Alarm Response, Mobile Patrol Vehicles, K9 Security, CCTV and Lock and Unlock Services, their client base includes a countrywide portfolio of shopping centres, retailers, warehouse and distribution centres etc. They have a strong operations team and successfully service contracts right across the country. My client is now looking for a Business Development Manager to target manned security contracts to grow their portfolio of clients across the country. This role represents an excellent opportunity for a successful BDM to join the company and further expand their contract base and grow with the business personally as the business grows.

Candidates for this role should have a good all round knowledge of the security industry, have successfully sold in the sector, have knowledge of all elements of the sales cycle from lead finding through to closing the sales. Candidates should have an engaging personality, strong communication and presentation skills and a smart appearance. A UK driving licence is also a must. Location wise candidates can reside anywhere within the country, but travel will obviously be required to visit potential clients. Locations suitable include Birmingham, London, Manchester, Nottingham, Leeds, Bristol, Reading, Leicester, Sheffield etc, although anywhere in Great Britain would be considered.

The sales target, basic salary and commission will be negotiable and will be dependent on what the successful candidate can add to the business’ sales function, so they are happy to look at candidates who are early in their sales career or more established candidates. They are also open to the sectors that they target (commercial, retail, shopping centres, construction etc).

Salary by negotiation depending on target and experience, car or allowance, mobile, laptop, NEST pension and 28 days holiday.
