Do you work in the HVAC industry and sell to M&E contractors or H&V installers? If so, we have a superb opportunity with a leading plastics ductwork fabricator that require a confident, new business led sales professional to cover Gloucestershire to the Wash and everything south of, with a focus on London and the South East. Offering a competitive basic salary & ote of £60k+, with other good benefits.
-THE ROLE;
* As Business Development Manager, you'll typically spend 4 days on the road and 1 day working from home, selling the companies industry leading plastic ductwork design and fabrication solutions, into Main contractors and predominantly M&E contractors that work in the HVAC world.
* Winning projects on both new build and refurbishment commercial projects, that could range from £10's of thousands up to £800k+, with the average order value being circa £90k.
* As Business Development Manager, you'll be networking with specialist H&V installers and finding out what projects they're pitching for, on things like hospital refurbishments and new builds, laboratories, schools, universities, water treatment works, pharmaceutical, oil and gas, chemical processing, food and drink, selling the bending, shaping, cutting fabrication solution on major H&V plastic pipework and ducting projects.
* The role will include conducting site surveys and liaising with the project engineers of these M&E contractors.
* As BDM, you'll be covering up to Norfolk, across to Gloucestershire, running just south of Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Exeter, Southampton, into London and the South East, with the focus being on the London M&E contractor market.
* This is a mix of account management and new business.
-THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE;
* The successful BDM will either have a successful track record of selling plastics, pipework, plumbing products or air movement products, or something associated under the HVAC banner, into M&E contractors and H&V installers, or Main contractors or perhaps have worked for an M&E contractor or H&V installer as an engineer and have the personality to succeed in sales.
* You will have a good understanding of differing and varying procurement routes within construction generally, but with emphasis on the M&E market.
* A knowledge of ductwork and building services, plus any fabrication experience would be great.
* Strong interpersonal skills.
* You will be target driven, organised, a good negotiator, with the ability to think strategically.
-THE REMUNERATION;
* A competitive basic salary
* Ote of £60k+
* £560 per month car allowance or Mercedes A class type company car
* 23 days holidays, rising to 25 after 2 years.
* 3% employer pension contribution, 5% from employee
* Mobile phone, laptop, healthcover after a qualifying period.
* Quarterly team nights out and Xmas party.
