My client a UK based payment services organisation are looking for a Business Development Advisor to join their team on a permanent basis.
They will also consider part time candiates for this role working either 10-2pm or 9:30-3pm.
The client are on a mission to make their customers lives easier, giving these businesses the products, tools, and services that make it easier for them to be in control, and ultimately, to succeed. They do this by offering payment services to ensure businesses always make the sale.
About the Role
As a Business Development Advisor your job will be to cold call potential customers from their internal database advising them of their services in order to book appointments for their field-based representatives (BDM) to visit.
You will be required to manage the BDM’s diary, booking appointments in close proximity geographically to allow the BDM the required time between appointments.
You will be required to qualify the details making sure that the customer is either not in contract with another provider or is within 3 months of the end of their contract and find out who their current provider is.
You will also be required to build, cleanse and enhance existing data to make sure all records are relevant and up to date with details.
Key Responsibilities:
* Successfully generate qualified appointments for field sales agents (BDM’s)
* Outbound calling
* Following up on internal and external leads to move them from enquiry to appointment.
* Working towards set KPI’s
* Updating of CRM system – ensuring all customer records are kept up to date accurately
* Comply with company policies and FCA regulatory guideline
* General sales admin tasks
* Competitor analysis
Skills and Abilities:
* Proven sales experience within a target driven environment
* Ability to organise, prioritise and manage workflow ensuring financial sales objectives are delivered /achieved
* Demonstrate the ability to consistently work towards and exceed expectations/ targets
* Exceptional interpersonal skills to engage business owners and colleagues
* Ability to use own initiative to manage own performance
* Ability to understand productivity KPI’s and adhere to them
* Ability to work independently within a team
