Biotech / Life Science Sales Manager – UK & Europe (RP1187-CVL)
Location: Based in England – North East, Yorkshire, North West, Midlands, South East or South West (UK & European Travel Required)
£50K – £65K Basic + Company Car + Bonus (£10K-20K) + 10% Pension + 4 X Life Insurance + 25 Days Holiday + Public Holidays + Benefits

My client is an international leader in the design, development and manufacture of specialist scientific equipment used across a diverse range of industries with a particular focus on R&D institutions, University’s and Biotech businesses.
Recognised as an industry innovator they have continually challenged the boundaries of technology to provide high specification systems that meet the demands of industry.
In line with their strategic growth plans, they now wish to recruit a Technical Sales Manager / Business Development Manager to further enhance new and existing relationships within the UK & Northern European (Belgium / Netherlands) territory.
POSITION
Operating from a home office you will be responsible for:-
* Developing relationships with new (75%) and existing (25%) customers.
* Travelling within the territory, typically spending 6-8 nights away from home per month.
* Working with the technical team to understand clients process development, process optimisation and cell screening needs. Proposing suitable fit for purpose systems.
* Securing the sale of systems with a typical value from £60K to £350K to department heads such as R&D Managers and Lab Managers.
* Conducting client sales presentations.
* Identifying and hunting out new potential customers.
* Handling and managing any incoming leads from your territory.
* Working to territory growth objectives.
PERSON
Candidates MUST possess a degree within Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry or affiliated, along with a minimum of 2-3 years sales experience in the biotechnology field and be familiar with selling equipment to R&D institutes, Accademia or Biotech businesses.
A full UK driving license is essential. Other key skills include:
