Account Manager – Material Handling
Location: Buckinghamshire
Salary: £35-45,000 + great benefits
Our Client is a business without peer, a company that leads the way in their sector. As part of a dynamic international growth strategy they are looking to significantly develop their business in the UK, and to mirror their success in the United States. Their impressive client list includes leading names in retail, manufacturing & pharmaceuticals, and they aim to develop this further.
To assist their growth plans they are looking to recruit an Account Manager to build on the success they have already enjoyed. The successful candidate will be customer focused, intellectually strong and with an ability to think creatively to deliver what potential customers require.
Supported by industry leaders based both in the UK & internationally we are looking for a candidate who has a strong track record of success, but more importantly somebody who has an outstanding career ahead.
Key responsibilities are:
* Promoting the brand and range of services to a portfolio of customers to seek business opportunities.
* Forging highly productive relationships throughout customer organisations covering various departments.
* Providing and communicating technical and operational support to the customer.
* Setting and adhering to customer business plans and customer revenue growth targets so performance of individual accounts can be measured and rationalised.
* Developing a detailed understanding of the business of each portfolio customer.
Ideally the candidate will have the following credentials:
* Degree educated, with a minimum of a 2i attained from a recognised university, preferably in a STEM subject
* Proven experience in selling or marketing of material handling equipment
* Depending on the level of experience this is a significant opportunity for an individual to expand their remit to managing global, blue chip accounts.
* A proactive nature and powerful desire to seek opportunities and follow up leads both internally and externally. Forming an expansive network of contacts, customers and in the wider industry will be a crucial part of making the role a success.
* A conscientious attitude to owning a problem, regardless of fault, and ensuring it is followed through to resolution.
* Some travel is expected (UK and Europe) and therefore the candidate will be occasionally expected to work outside standard office hours.
