My client is a global leader in flavour. With 11,000 employees around the world and more than $4.8 billion in annual sales in 2017, the Company manufactures, markets and distributes flavours, spices, seasoning mixes, condiments and other flavourful products to the entire food industry, retail outlets, food manufactures and food service businesses
They are now recruiting for a National Account Manager to join their EMEA Headquarter. This role will fully develop, implement, and commercially manage key strategic accounts with Leading Food and Beverage manufacturers in the UK and across Europe.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Full P&L KPI accountability for Custom Food Manufacturers strategic customers
* Customer NPD development – productivity and cost target management
* Core category growth leadership and influence: external and internal
* Cross-Functional team ownership, accountability, and behaviour setting
* Differing regional dynamics and product category revenue streams across customer base
* Maintain a value-added service to ensure successful relationships.
* Identify key areas for growth and gross profit increase
* Core competency growth area for McCormick
CANDIDATE PROFILE
* You will have proven Account Manager experience working within a food ingredients, flavours or food and beverage manufacturing business. Ideally with blue chip FMCG experience.
* You will have experience working with high profile and high-pressure customers within the UK food manufacturing, food service or retail sectors.
* Evidence of negotiation skills and strategic growth contribution required.
* Ability to deliver KPI in timely manner, also beyond targets.
* Proven track record of innovative and stretching growth
* Technical food and beverage knowledge would be an advantage.
* Strong P&L management experience
* Strong ability to influence
* Good organisation & time management skills – able to prioritise work
* You will ideally have a food or business-based degree.
Although experience working with flavours would be useful, my client is looking for someone who is a great Account Manager who has a passion for the food industry and so is open to consider people from different backgrounds.
The position is based in Buckinghamshire but there can be some home working so location can be flexible
