Quality Personnel are partnering with their MK based Client to recruit a UK Purchasing and Materials Manager.
We’re interested in speaking with applicants who have at least 5 years’ experience working as Purchasing Manager within the Manufacturing industry
It goes without saying you’ll need excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills (man-management experience is essential).
Exceptional negotiation and purchasing skills with a good understanding of the global market.
Ideally, you’ll have a Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or have CIPS (or equivalent).
This role requires a go-getter with excellent relationship building qualities, top notch judgement and decision-making skills too.
Main duties:
* Working with suppliers, manufacturers and internal departments, creating planning and implementing purchasing strategies.
* Searching and sourcing potential suppliers and vendors and building and maintaining relationships.
* Finding solutions to overcome global shortages – always negotiating best price.
* Assessing, managing and mitigating risks.
* Managing data for all purchased components/materials, managing and collecting certification of conformity for safety critical components and managing inventory levels.
* Managing the purchasing function through a team purchasing agents.
* Managing logistics, and supply chain of materials, components, and goods and organising shipments of goods for UK production.
* Managing, developing, coaching, mentoring and supporting existing Purchasing team.
Working Monday to Friday, free parking, 33 days annual leave (including BH).
