Strategic Sourcing Manager
Term: Full-time, Permanent
Location: Hybrid, with offices in High Wycombe
Salary: £38000 – £45000 pa + excellent benefits
Role Summary:
We're looking for a Strategic Sourcing Manager to manage and support key aspects of our electronic component supply chain across the Group, both as part of bringing new products to market and ongoing mass production.
The role will operate in a cross Group capacity, supporting Focusrite, Novation, ADAM, Sequential and Martin brands. You will consider all aspects of our relationships with component suppliers and distributors, aiming to develop long term partners that help to meet the company's growth objectives and ensure that the supply chain is delivering uninterrupted supply at the best cost.
The Strategic Sourcing Manager will work closely with internal stakeholders including Demand Planning, Production Engineering, Product Team, Finance and Sales, as well as external partners such as component manufacturers, distributors and our contract manufacturing partners.
Responsibilities:
* Own and manage relationships with critical component distributors to ensure the businesses procurement goals and production targets are met.
* Maintain, share and ensure alignment on forecasts of business critical components.
* Analyse performance and provide feedback on key supplier management indicators.
* Support contract manufacturers with any supply issues.
* Help define, measure and achieve procurement KPIs at a Group level, for example providing visibility of any excess planning and exposure.
* Support production planning with the construction of data models using multiple systems that highlight procurement risks and options to mitigate them.
* Lead the Group's contract pricing approach to maximise savings, as well as defining and following an internal communication framework.
* Drive cost savings through price negotiations and proactive identification of alternative components across the Group, both as part of NPI development and ongoing mass production.
* Carry out margin and market analysis to support decisions on potential component spot buys and batch purchases.
* Define, implement and maintain a communication framework across the Group to ensure key pricing and forecast information is accessible and proactively shared.
Skills and experience required:
* Exposure to NPI procurement and component supply chains.
* Exceptional organisation and time-management skills.
* Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to combine multiple sources of numerical data, carry out analyses and present conclusions.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
* 3rd party Account & relationship management.
* Experience working with multidisciplinary teams in a process-driven environment.
An Ideal Candidate will have:
* Experience leveraging data to define and measure KPIs.
* Familiarity with varieties and the technical and commercial properties of electronic components and bills of material.
* Previous exposure to the electronic component market.
* Understanding of the electronics component supply chain.
