The Role
You will be responsible for all Inventory and Returns Processing related matters within the depot. Ensuring that stock is accurate and using your inquisitive nature to investigate and reconcile discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities:
·Goods Receiving and Storing
·Stock Investigations, Cycle Counts and Stocktaking
·Stock Transfers and Replenishment
·Returns Processing and Quality Assurance
·Locations Audit and Inventory System Corrections / Adjustments
·Aged / Obsolete Stock Reporting
·Rack and Safety Inspections
·Driving change and continuous improvements
·Deputising for the warehouse supervisor in his absence, supporting the warehouse team and training when required
Person Specification:
* Previous experience within a fast-paced manufacturing/engineering or fire protection/mechanical fittings warehouse
* Experience with PI counts and stocktaking
* Must demonstrate warehouse processes awareness
* Drive, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude
* Be resilient under pressure and demonstrate the ability to adapt quickly
* The ability to manage conflicting priorities and deliver results within a complex and unforeseen work demands.
* Strong planning, organisational and time management skills
* IT proficient in specifically Excel, Outlook 365, and Warehouse or Inventory Management Systems
* Excellent problem-solving skills with a good attention to detail
* Having a UK driving, and Counterbalance or Flexi forklift operator licence will be advantageous.
* Awareness of site Environmental, Health and Safety regulations.
