An exciting position has arisen for a Purchaser to join our busy team based at the Milton Keynes Head Office. The Purchaser is responsible for the telephone communication with all branches, liaising with suppliers regarding any supply issues or order solutions. The Purchaser will be reporting to the Purchase Manager on price issues that arise GA or other.
We are offering a competitive salary and ideally, the successful candidate should have previous experience working within a similar background.
Responsibilities:
* Maintain a daily relationship with all branches avoiding potential stock issues arising.
* Resolving problems as quick and efficiently as possible when needed.
* Due date stock control to be managed so we do not double up stock with 2nd line supply.
* Reporting daily to the Purchase Manager if branch levels need adjusting, any movement with pricing, Quantity break price analysis and G-net issues if needed.
* Review the Purchase Order status at the branches under your control.
* Communicate with Branch Managers.
* Checking purchase order status.
* Run unapproved stock requirements – maintain e-mail order information.
* Answering the phone, dealing with a high volume of phone calls.
* Responsible for the management of orders, so not to increase individual carriage charges.
Essential requirements;
The ideal candidate must possess strong computer literacy skills in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel. Have previous experience working in the Automotive sector with experience using MAM Autoparts and be a good team player.
