A large flavours and fragrances food business is recruiting for a Sensory and Consumer Insights Project Leader in Marlow on a 12 month fixed-term contract. This person will support the snacks category within the food sector.

Salary: £ 25,000 – £ 29,000 p.a. plus pension, holidays and numerous other benefits
The Role of Sensory & Consumer Insights Projects Leader:
The role of the consumer and sensory sciences department is to help clients in the food and drink industry better understand their products and consumers
The function is to support the snacks category on initiatives and customer requests
The objective of the SCI Project Leader is to plan, perform and evaluate sensory and consumer insights research with both a trained panel and consumers
Manage incoming projects, advise which SCI testing is suitable in line with best practice, and follow the progress of the project until needed
Facilitate selection of relevant market products, project candidates and portfolio flavours to ensure optimized test design and results
Provide sensory and/or consumer results including clear presentation formats, relevant conclusions and actionable recommendations
Interpret, analyse, report and present SCI data to internal stakeholders and make recommendations on how to proceed with projects on a high quality and consistent manner
The ideal Sensory & Consumer Insights Projects Leader:
Understanding of sensory and consumer testing experience
Strong knowledge of the food industry, customers and their markets
Experience on specialist sensory software would be beneficial
A relevant University Degree in Sensory, consumer science, food science or food and nutrition
Experience in the snack foods sector would be beneficial
Good project management skills
