About The Role
EKFB is a joint venture that brings together international, market leading expertise from four leading civil engineer and construction companies: Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial Construction and BAM Nuttall. We've been appointed an 80km stretch of the new HS2 line between London and Birmingham.
We’re looking for a Senior Buyer for Sub-contracts to join our team in the North Chilterns Area of our project.
In this role you can expect to run and set up meetings and criticality assessments. We would also need you to write Procurement Strategies (PAPs) and get these approved.
Part of this role will be to run the Expression of Interest process and complete Financial and Common Assessment Standard Assurance on tenderers.
You will manage the running of the tender process from inception to completion and you will be required to prepare the tender comparison. We’ll need you to recommend the preferred supplier on a tender recommendation Report (TRR).Prepare the NEC3 Sub contracts with our Commercial team.
Preparation of the Recommendation for award RFA and any business case report will be required. You will also assist in onboarding suppliers onto Tradex.
About The Candidate
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Qualified by experience or academically with A Levels, HNC or a Degree
MCIPS (or working towards)
Experience of working as a Buyer or Senior Buyer within complex Major Infrastructure projects
Experience of NEC 3 Sub-contracts
Infrastructure supplier and product knowledge
Organised, self-motivated individual
Team player with excellent communication skills
