Quality Personnel are recruiting for a Purchasing Co-ordinator working in an independent family-owned company.

You will be office based in a team of 3, to begin with you will be assisting with administrative support in the purchasing department.

You’ll be supporting the team and dealing with suppliers. Good communication skills in addition to a working knowledge of Excel required. Some telephone work involved and the use of Teams.

This is a busy role working 9am to 5pm

Main duties:
– Assisting in placing and progressing purchase orders and dealing with enquiries from suppliers.
– Maintaining minimum and maximum levels on franchise products, in accordance with frequency set by the company.
– Monitoring all franchise stock lines and replenishing when necessary.
– Expediting outstanding items against sales orders and transferring within the group as necessary.
– Reviewing and updating supplier order acknowledgments against purchase orders.
– Creating and maintenance of franchise products within role holder supplier list.
– Controlling of stock provision, physical and obsolete stock.
– Ensuring pricing and discounts are up to date on system.

• You should enjoy dealing with people, creating and maintaining relationships as well as making a good impression both personally and for the organisation.
• Be able to demonstrate you have the persistence to see a job through to conclusion and the ability to work within a structured environment.
• Good Microsoft office (Excel).
• Experience in similar purchasing / customer service environment is important.
