Junior Buyer wanted for a growing Beauty & Cosmetics Business

Location: Buckinghamshire

Salary: £25,000- £38000

This is an extremely varied role, reporting directly to the Commercial Director. My Client is looking for an experienced Junior Buyer who is looking for their next career challenge. You need to be a confident negotiator who will be able to form strong and long-lasting relationships with suppliers.

*Develop comprehensive understanding of our supply chain
*Analyse market trends and apply knowledge to make insightful buying decisions
*Build relationships with suppliers & tailor negotiations to suit their ways of working
*Negotiating to ensure best prices for items and delivery in satisfactory time
*Monitoring shipments, deliveries, chasing suppliers to ensure timely receipt
*Maintaining stock levels and identifying the need for replenishment
*Carrying out weekly sales analysis to deliver buying proposals
*Attending buying meetings with UK and overseas suppliers to negotiate purchases
*Adhering to purchasing budgets and identifying potential cash flow issues
*Independently identifying and acting upon stocklists and offers
*Effectively run ad hoc buying reports as necessary to assist with purchasing analysis
*Building relationships with other departments to ensure constant communication and efficiency
*Assisting the Buyer with the training and supervision of junior members of the team
*Being proactive in managing own development – identifying potential areas for improvement and seeking the necessary tools to maximise learning potential

Candidate Profile:

*Strong negotiation skills
*High levels of attention to detail
*A keen interest in the fragrances industry
*The ability to manage multiple tasks and work to tight deadlines
*Strong Microsoft Office skills
*Advanced Excel skills including V-Look ups
*Proven experience as a Junior Buyer
*Experience gained from FMCG industry is highly desirable
*Knowledge of supply chains is desirable
*Experience of Sage desirable
