A large packaging company based in Milton Keynes are recruiting for an Inventory Manager on a full-time permanent basis, to manage stock supply for certain categories.

Commutable from: Milton Keynes, Newport Pagnell, Bletchley, Bedford, Buckingham, Kempston, Towcester, Northampton, Leighton Buzzard

Salary: £ 30,000 to £ 35,000 p.a. plus company benefits

The Role

Reporting into the purchasing department, take responsibility for supply and stockholding for the category of products
Maintain stock levels to ensure excellent availability, and purchase goods as required at the most beneficial market rate
Ensure replenishment arrives on schedule, and communicate availability information across the company
Liaise with the sales team to gain good insights into the demand plans
Process quote requests, issuing to potential suppliers and ensure excellent liaison with sales department
Keep ERP updated and maintain stock levels
Attend and contribute to the weekly purchasing meetings

The Person

Proven experience in a demand or supply planning position with purchasing experience
Hold a data driven mind-set and Microsoft excel skills
Knowledge of international shipping and customs clearance
ERP system use experience
Working experience dealing with deep sea/far-east suppliers (China, India)
