Role: Head of Procurment
£28-32 Per hour
Duration: 6 Months initially but likley rolling
This includes the provision of expert strategic advice to the Trust on all procurement and supply chain matters, the achievement of financial savings and value for money for the goods/services the organisation procures. The Chief Procurement Officer must ensure monitoring and measurement of performance of the function against key areas identified in the Trusts procurement strategy, delivery of the annual work plan as well as working externally in developing emerging procurement chains, networks at a regional and potentially national level.
The post holder shall also lead commercial aspects of the Trust transformation programme and be required to lead the Procurement related activities associated specifically with the "Carter" programme
Integral to the role is the requirement to lead the development and subsequent delivery of an ambitious and leading edge strategic development plan for the procurement service. Key within this will be the requirement to develop shared service models for the procurement function to support several Trusts and introduce e-enabled solutions across the organisation, which will identify ways to unlock significant savings for the Trust, whilst ensuring that quality is maintained or enhanced.
