Head of Buying and Sourcing Manager – Homewares

Zachary Daniels are proud to be partnered with a beautiful homewares retailer, who are looking to appoint a Head of Buying and Sourcing Manager to join the team. With the Head Office based in London, the role will be partly remote based.

The position of Head of Buying and Sourcing Manager is designed to work hand in hand with the designers, creative team and merchandising function to source a premium range of products for the home and managing the supply chain of this.

We are looking for an existing Head of Buying or Head of Buying and Sourcing Manager, with a deep understanding of the homewares market.

Key responsibilities will include:

Create and implement the sourcing strategy for business, ensuring a robust supplier base is in place to support the business
Develop relationships with all existing suppliers, ensuring products are delivered on time and to the agreed quality standards
Ensure ethical and environmental standards are met with robust contracts in place
In line with the businesses sourcing new product development strategy, identify and onboard new suppliers
Negotiate prices and moq's with suppliers
Manage the critical path to ensure new products are launched on time and to brief
Manage the FE supply chain team to oversee the fabrication of new product, approving samples along the way
Coach, lead and motivate a high performing team
Maintain a detailed understanding of the cradle to grave process in the homewares market
Develop strong relationships cross functionally including Design, Merch and FinanceAbout you:

A minimum of five years experience in a senior buying or sourcing role, within Homewares
A strong leader, with proven experience of managing a high performing team
An appreciation of a more premium taste level
A skilled negotiator
Strong FE sourcing experience
Commercially astute
A proactive and independent thinker who works well in small teams
