The role of Channel Planning Manager reports into the Head of Planning and Allocation the role is based in their Amersham Head Office.
Key Responsibilities:
* Managing and forecasting stock requirements to ensure optimal availability
* Create and implement Planning & Allocation forward plan that meets the specific channel commercial performance requirements.
* Analyse store performance to ensure optimal stock support to drive sales and manage store stock levels accordingly
* Work with the Head of Planning & Allocation to ensure effective and accurate planning of inbound/outbound stock flow to create a dynamic and ever-changing mix of product to create the best customer experience Identify and own key sales volumes forecasts at channel level, in collaboration with the Buying and Marketing teams for new ranges, seasons and promotions.
* Work with the Head of Planning & Allocation to ensure effective and accurate planning of inbound/outbound stock flow to create a dynamic and ever-changing mix of product to create the best customer experience.
* Work with key stakeholders to ensure all system development changes are effectively tested and implemented.
* Partnering with Retail Operations, area and store managers to ensure stores are supported in achieving sales targets and to address issues and opportunities.
* Be a proactive participant in your own personal development and display drive and enthusiasm in achieving your career goals.
* Coaching and mentoring the team to deliver with confidence and competence.
* Other ad hoc duties such as analysis and reporting as requested by your line manager.
Ideal candidates will have circa 5 years’ experience of merchandising or stock planning within a fast-paced retail business. You will be numerate and analytical and have an excellent commercial focus. You will enjoy coaching and mentoring junior members of the team and will be able to work across numerous stakeholder groups within the business. Spanish language would be a distinct advantage.
