Job Title: Buying Administrator
Salary: £23,000 – £25,000 depending on experience

Hours: Monday – Friday office hours (Flexible start time and early finish Fridays)

Job Purpose:
Our client is in the top 100 companies to work for and they need someone to assist the Buyers in the administrative aspects of the buying process. The job will include ensuring accurate data is collected for product creation process, creating products on the relevant systems, progressing orders into the warehouse and setting up initial stock levels. Maintain supplier relationships to ensure stock is delivered on time. The role also covers the management of retail prices and price establishment.
You will be a great administrator with a good eye for detail, well organised and able to hit deadlines under pressure. You will also have a natural enthusiasm for our brands and ranges. This is a key role to ensure the effective running of the buying team and requires amount of flexibility plus the ability to work under pressure to meet commercial deadlines.
Responsibilities:
Attending supplier previews to identify new product.
To create and maintain accurate SKU level information on the merchandising and EPOS systems. Maintaining the data as requested by the Buyers, to include:
Product descriptions
Bar codes
Batteries and accessories
SKU attributes and status
Minimum stock quantities
MDL
Pack sizes
Waste packaging
WEEE
To accurately raise orders for all products and order types.
To action tasks to manage the open order book and ensure stock is delivered to the WSSI plan and prioritised by business need.
To provide accurate PO updates to support the ‘open to pay’ intake and cash flow as managed by Finance.
To develop good relationships with the suppliers to expedite the chasing of suppliers and DC for order confirmations, delivery bookings and other requirements as required.
To manage price changes to an agreed schedule and communicate with the stores and IT to action. Including price establishment.
To support the buyers by dealing with emails and other communications from shop and suppliers where appropriate to free their time for other business priorities.
To investigate and action invoice and purchase order queries in a timely fashion.

Skills & Experience
Knowledge of TRS, IP systems an advantage.
You will need to be an experienced administrator ideally with knowledge gained within a retail or commercial environment.
Good working knowledge of Excel and Word.
Good numeracy and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritise whilst working under pressure.
