Are you a qualified engineer looking to move into a procurement role? Do you have experience in building relationships with suppliers or customers?

Can you read technical drawings? Do you have experience using Microsoft Office?

Established over 35 years ago this global business design and manufacture cutting edge equipment, servicing the automotive, aviation, food, and scientific industries. Due to continuous growth, they are looking for an additional Buyer to join the procurement team.

In this role you will work in a small close-knit team, building long term relationships with high-quality suppliers. You will procure goods for all internal customers ranging from production, sales, manufacturing, and HR. You will ensure you negotiate the best price, delivery and service of goods, you will oversee projects for cost reduction and continuously strive for improvements in the purchasing process and working practices.

The Role:

Buyer working in a close-knit and supportive team
Procuring goods for all internal customers – Engineering, Production, Manufacturing, Sales and HR
Take responsibility for the day-to-day management of contracts
Oversee cost reduction projects
£25'000 – £30'000 + Training, Professional Development (CIPS Course), Healthcare, Pension and Excellent Benefits
To apply for this role, you must:

Have a formal engineering qualification: NVQ Level 3 or above
Have had some exposure working with suppliers or customers (internal or external)
Be able to read technical drawings and proficiently use Microsoft Office
Be passionate about personal development (CIPS and other professional courses offered for everyone in the purchasing team)
