Mayo Brothers are an award-winning independent family run butchers owned, since 2008, by Rob and Jenni Sawyer. We have a small close knit team, of 3 employees, and are now looking for an additional Butcher to join our team as we grow the business.

Mayo Brothers Butchers is situated in Chesham Bois, between Amersham and Chesham and specialises in prime, grass-fed Scotch Beef, which we dry-age to achieve a greater depth of flavour and is wonderfully tender. The wider product offering includes: Welsh Hill lamb, outdoor reared Orchard Farm pork, free range chicken, homemade sausages, burgers, a selection of oven ready meals together with a wide selection of frozen fish. 

As a Butcher your responsibilities will include:

Full Butchery
Creating inspiring, innovative, seasonally changing displays – that are attractive and shoppable
Acting as an ambassador for the Mayo Brothers brand – delivering the outstanding customer service which we are famous for.
The preparation / manufacture of our own products (Pies, oven-ready meals, sausage rolls etc)
Maintaining the highest levels of health and safety, food safety and food hygiene
We are keen to speak to people about this Butcher position with the following skills and experience:

Good knife skills – the ability to Bone, Cut, Tie and Portion Control
Excellent customer service skills
Keen to learn new techniques
Be open-minded and creative to think of new ideas to move the business forward
Hours of work will be Monday and Tuesday – 8-1, Wednesday – Friday 8-5, Saturday 6-3. Days only role. 

In return, you will receive a pay rate of £12.50 per hour plus company pension and 28 days holiday (including Bank holidays).
