We're looking for an Assistant Manager to join a leading builders Merchants based in Milton Keynes.

You will be joining a forward thinking and passionate team and will play a pivotal role in the growth of the branch.

This will suit you if you're looking to add value and get stuck in to a busy, challenging and varied role.

As Assistant Manager, some of your daily duties will include:

Building relationships with new and existing customers
Lead, coach and mentor the team (10)
Ensuring all quotes are completed and followed up
Proactively generating new business
Providing support to the branch manager
Be hands on and get stuck into all aspects of the operation

Skills, experience and personal attributes required:

Growth mindset – 'Thinks outside the box'
Strong work ethic with a 'can do' attitude
Strong leadership skills & commercially astute
Experience working in a Builders Merchant is essential – Timber experience is desirable
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
