Speech and Language Therapist (SaLT) to Young Adults in a Care Centre
Full Time (Term-time)
Peterborough ASAP or
£38,000 with a fantastic salary package
Summary Care Home are currently recruiting a Speech and Language Therapist (SaLT) experience to join a prestigious Care home group
This is a full-time role to start immediately,
Speech and Language Therapist (SaLT); a relevant Speech & Language Therapy degree and HCPC registration • Has experience • Has experience teaching small group sessions in Social Skills • Comfortable planning and teaching these sessions • Be willing to take an active part in Care home
Ideally have experience working with Patients with dyslexia, autism and Specific Learning difficulties
Main Responsibilities • Assessing and reviewing needs, as well as implementing, evaluating and delivering programmes and regular therapy • Providing speech and language services to Patients, families and staff members • Work closely with teaching and support Staff members
• Teaching regular classes in Social Skills • Providing Lego Therapy • Actively getting involved in extracurricular activities Requirements You will ideally have a degree in Speech and Language Therapy or Human Communication that is approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Recent experience and a genuine passion for working in a special school are essential. All applicants will need to hold a current enhanced DBS and be fully compliant to work in the UK.
