Our client, is a public distance Learning & Research University and one of the biggest universities in the UK for undergraduate education.
They are looking to recruit an experienced Information Rights Specialist to provide vital support. This role is to start 11th October for 4 months. This role is currently working from home and equipment will be supplied.
This role is paying between £21.91ph, working a 37hr week.
The University is committed to supporting the rights of individuals and is currently building on its data protection compliance to implement an accountability framework. As part of this framework we are keen to implement best practice in our DPIA process, incorporating data ethics into the assessment and refining existing templates.
Key Responsibilities
Review and revise DPIA screening questions and DPIA questions to improve usability and to incorporate data ethics.
Review and revise the existing DPIA process and templates to support risk scoring, escalation to the DPO, and grouping of DPIAs.
Embed the DPIA process in OU Change Management processes.
Create a DPIA knowledge bank and FAQs.
Skills and Experience
Good knowledge of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, particularly in relation to DPIAs and the ROPA.
Prior experience of implementing a DPIA process in a large organisation.
Experience of creating a ROPA in a large organisation with complex systems infrastructure and multiple processing functions.
