About the role:
They now have an opportunity available for a Health and Safety professional to join them to act as the competent person on all Health & Safety matters and to support the Head of Health, Safety & Compliance in the management of corporate Health & Safety across Grand Union.
This is a key position in which you will lead on the review of all related policies and procedures, carry out a programme of H&S checks on the office and ensure regular inspection regimes are in place at all schemes.
You will work with the Communications Manager to promote good health and safety culture across the organisation and deliver H&S updates and training to specified colleagues, acting in an advisory role for all H&S related issues and queries.
What they’re looking for:

NEBOSH National General Certificate and Diploma or equivalent
*
Training qualification enabling delivery of IOSH Working and Managing Safely e.g. PTTLS or IOSH Train the Trainer.

Previous experience of working in a corporate health and safety role
*
Experience of report writing and developing, reviewing and implementing health and safety related policies and procedures
*
Experience of training staff
*
Ability to communicate and liaise effectively with external and internal contacts
*
Good IT skills
*
Flexible approach to hours worked
