Senior Land Manager

We are continuing to expand from our North Home Counties office in Milton Keynes and as a Senior Land Manager you will be responsible for securing land opportunities to meet the company's requirements and expansion plans. A Land Manager post is a largely self-sufficient role, with the ability to source land opportunities and instruct consultants/development teams regarding the legal, planning, development, and commercial constraints of any proposal.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
* Identification of residential development opportunities using personal contacts, existing client database, property agents and direct approaches.
* Present to landowners and agents on a formal and informal basis
* Collate build costs, market research and local planning policy information to successfully negotiate terms for land acquisition.
* Evaluate development sites using internal resources and external professional terms, purchase and sale agreements, development agreements, leases, and options whilst liasing with the in-house legal team.
* Represent the company with local authorities, stakeholder meetings and community engagement.
* Working hand in hand with the land department in the review of future residential land opportunities across the Southern region
* Managing consultants.
* Scope to appraise development opportunities and pursue deals.
* Pursuit of land promotion deals/opportunities may be possible when the regional office matures in the coming years from its current growth phase.
About You
* Up to 5 years’ experience in land acquisition with a track record of taking land opportunities from identification through to completion
* Good understanding of the land and planning system and Local Authority requirements
* Self-motivating, but can work well as part of a larger team
* Professional manner commensurate with delivering business development and promoting the Company
* Highly literate and able to understand and interpret complex legal documentation
* Highly numerate with the ability to undertake residual valuations for land appraisals, undertake comparable sales valuations and provided sensitivity analysis
