Regional Business Development Director

Immediately Required

Location: Milton Keynes

Salary: £65-75,000

Our client, a provider of affordable housing, is recruiting for a Regional Director to oversee a team of staff who are responsible for building relationships with partners, including local authorities, housing associations and developers. The successful candidate must be commercially minded with the ability to drive and motivate a team to reach their targets.

Responsibilities:

* Develop a detailed strategy to ensure your region contributes to the delivery of the overall business plan

* Identify prospective opportunities and efficiencies to aid the delivery of the product

* Develop new and maintain existing relationships with developers, Local Authorities and Registered Providers

* Manage and motivate the team, ensuring that they are adequately supported – including training and appraising them of their performance and encouraging them to work as a Team

* Develop and produce detailed management performance reports both nationally and regionally

* Have an established network of contacts within the respective area of delivery responsibility

* Provide technical advice and assistance to Area Directors on complex housing and contractual matters

* Consult with the appropriate internal departments on new business proposals, seeking their approval to new projects

* Liaise with the COO, Head of Programme Management, and the finance team when taking schemes through their due diligence assessment

Essential Skills:

* Experience of successfully generating new business within housing development and affordable housing sector at a senior level

* Commercially driven with effective negotiation and persuasion skills

* Knowledge of the development process including S106, development risk, development programming, commercial structures and negotiation

* Thorough understanding of housing needs and variations in local demographic influences both politically and in the market

* Car Driver
