They are looking for an expereinced Plumber to join their Estates team.
Salary: £23,487 to £26,341 – dependent on experience + £3,500 allowance per year for out of hours call outs
Location: Milton Keynes Campus
Permanent, 37hrs per week.
The role
Estates is responsible for the management and development of University premises in Milton Keynes and its National and Regional Centres. The Infrastructure Team is looking for an experienced Maintenance Fitter Plumber to join the University's Maintenance team at Walton Hall Campus in Milton Keynes.
Some of the key duties include; working as part of a team to carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance of heating systems, ventilation, hot and cold water systems and other building services installations.
Skills and experience
This role will suit you if you:
* Have completed a craft apprenticeship with City & Guilds or BTEC National Certificate/Diploma, or an advanced modern apprenticeship (NVQ L2 with key skills) in mechanical or plumbing or equivalent qualification
* Proven and relevant post-apprenticeship experience in a public or commercial organisation responsible for operation and maintenance of mechanical building services.
* Are adaptable, flexible, proactive, have good interpersonal and communication skills and be committed to providing a high quality of service to our customers
* Are happy to participate in the out of hours call out rota which is an essential requirement of the position
* Ideally possess experience with screwed pipework and chemical drainage
