Salary: Upto £25,000 + Van

Sector: Health and Safety Consultancy – Asbestos

An established Health and Safety consulting group are looking to recruit a Junior Property Surveyor to work in their Asbestos Removal Dept.

The ideal candidate will have a Health and Safety qualification and some commercial experience in Building and Construction / Property Maintenance sector.

The duties of a Junior Property Surveyor / Trainee Asbestos Surveyor will include, but is not limited to:

Shadowing Lead Surveyors on all inspection, surveying, and sampling activities as part of the training and development programme with the aim of getting trained as a full surveyor in the future.
Complying with procedures as documented within the Quality Manual, Site and Technical Procedures and associated guidance.
Complete all necessary documentation, either paper or electronic versions, in order to record the findings during surveys, inspections or sampling.
Assisting Lead Surveyors on Refurbishment & Demolition surveys with all appropriate equipment to ensure quality of surveys.
Ensuring that all survey equipment/kit is fully stocked & maintained and reporting damage & defects immediately to the Head of Asbestos to ensure speedy replacement & replenishment.
Ensuring that all equipment held is clean, in good condition suitable for the tasks carried out.
Ensuring the security and confidentiality of all site documentation and records are maintained.
Cooperating with the Office Administration Staff regarding work programmes and diary arrangements.
Report directly to the Head of Asbestos.
The role will suit individuals currently working as a Trainee Asbestos Surveyor, Asbestos Surveyor and be living within a commutable distance of London, Bedfordshire, Surrey, Herts, Essex, Sussex, Middlesex, Bucks. or be willing to relocate.
