We are recruiting for an Interim Development Transactions / Land Management Surveyor to join Milton Keynes Development Partnership LLP on a 12 month FTC. This is an exciting opportunity to take responsibility of the completing a wide range of transactions on developments across the city. These interesting transaction form a project that would appeal to a commercial and proactive surveyor, who knows how to get transactions and deals done.

Milton Keynes Development Partnership LLP (MKDP) is owned by Milton Keynes Council. It facilitates Milton Keynes' continued growth and economic success by promoting the development of its land assets to deliver economic and social value from its 70+ sites in line with the council's plan and Plan MK. The MKDP estate comprises around 265 developable acres.
This is a forward-thinking client who promotes employee well fair and agile working policies. It is all about the end solution of regenerating and developing Milton Keynes.
Description
The key duties of the Interim Development Transactions / Land Management Surveyor include:
Take point on ensuring that a wide range of transactional projects are completed on time and that those deals are done.
Aid the delivery of the most advantageous overall economic and social outcomes from the assets in MKDP ownership.
Procure advice and assist in the evaluation of the options available for sites.
To engage with the private, public and third party organisations and support end users, developers and investors to progress enquiries and formal expressions of interest to a successful conclusion.
Provide and procure, where necessary, relevant advice to aid the disposal and / or management of MKDP assets.
To aid and facilitate MKDP's role as strategic advisor to MKC.
To ensure that MKDP operates within the necessary legislative, operational and financial framework agreed with MKC.
To undertake effective contract negotiation and management of land disposals.
Liaise with, and be point of contact for, the property management team at MK Council that manage the assets of MKDP.
Profile
The successful Interim Development Transactions / Land Management Surveyor would ideally have the following skills and experiences:
Experience of completing transactions of commercial, residential or land developments
A solution orientated mindset to get these transactions done and to unpick any blockers / issues that would prevent these projects being completed.
Experience in structuring property transactions to a successful conclusion within the private sector.
An awareness and understanding of working within a political environment.
A proven ability to successfully deliver project work.
An appreciation of how to manage the public perception of a publicly owned development company which has social responsibilities.
Be able to get to Milton Keynes 2/3 days a week.
Job Offer
The client is looking to secure an Interim Development Surveyor to join MKDP for a 12 month period, receiving local government pension, a basic of £60,000 plus other benefits.
This is an exciting opportunity tackle a number of transactions and to get these deals done. This is about the end result and solution, which will see these transactions all at varying stages of development, completed by the end of the 12 months.
