1st Select have been retained by a multi-disciplinary Build Environment consultancy to recruit an Energy Manager in the South of England to join their ever-evolving team and assist in the demand for specialist knowledge across their project pipeline

To provide energy consultancy duties for a variety of different clients in different sectors, the work may well be varied, but will generally cover the following:

·Energy Surveys, both concise and comprehensive

·Net Zero Carbon surveys, assessments and reporting

·Energy related feasibility studies looking at options and appraising those options

·Assessment and manipulation of energy data, including heat and power loads, assessing fuel bills, producing charts and graphs, using analytical techniques such as regression analysis

·Identifying energy related solutions both on site and in a theoretical desktop context

·Consider the use of not only traditional equipment, such as boilers and CHP, but also renewable and new technologies, including wind, solar, biomass, ground source and air to air heat pumps

·Ability to apply metering techniques to sites, including electrical, water and heat profiling

·Contribution to the inception stage of the design process and throughout both the design and project management of both an energy and an infrastructure installation

·Overseeing energy related projects during the construction phase

·Provide energy related compliance advice if required, including DEC’s and EPC’s, ESOS, CHPQA etc. (Accepting that this may require further training and registration)

·Accurate and presentable report writing covering both the technical aspects of the project, but also an executive summary and easy to read conclusions

·Presenting the findings to clients as well as other ad-hoc presentations and training if required, including energy awareness training
