Connections Recruitment are delighted to be assisting a leading UK developer in their search for a Building Manager based in Colchester.
The development is in the heart of Milton Keynes, boasting excellent transport links amidst a bustling atmosphere in the local area, whilst the property itself is a Grade A Asset of around 150,000 sq ft. As the Building Manager, you'll be confident in managing both the physical asset and the soft services that keep it ticking, all whilst building upon excellent working relationships with the existing occupiers to create a first-class FM service for them.
To be familiar with the building that you are responsible for, in particular, its construction, the services provided, plant and equipment, fire and security systems and front of house services
Management of all sub-contractors and visitors to the site, delivering an exceptionally high standard of service from your base at Reception
Implement safe working practices to ensure the safety of all contractors, tenants and visitors
Responsible for the management of the building operating budget
Assist with preparation of service charge budgets and reconciliations
Providing costs for services to the Investment/Workspace Managers as required for potential new customers
Undertake regular inspections of the site, including its fabric/construction, plant and equipment and other relevant areas
Report faults/incidents through logbooks facilities management helpdesk, keep abreast of updates and chase as required
Performance evaluation of services provided and to hold regular assessment meetings with service providers
Ensure the highest levels of security are maintained at your site you are responsible for and any breaches are reported and investigated and appropriate action taken to increase security if needed
Liaison with tenants regarding move in and move out requirements, tenant fit-out or alterations and any other ongoing tenant issues & matters
