Our established client is currently looking to recruit a Senior Policy Advisor on an initial 3 month contract, looking to start immediately and working from home.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in a HR Advisor / Policy Advisor role and ideally be CIPD qualified. You will have previous experience writing HR policies and procedures, a sound knowledge of UK employment legislation and have worked within a unionised environment. Within the role you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, reviewing and amending People Services policies and procedures and providing advice to colleagues on policy changes.
Key duties
* Analyse new employment legislation and reviews impact on existing policy and procedures.
* Review existing policies and procedures to ensure they are up-to-date and compliant with current employment legislation as well as reflecting best practice.
* Proactively manages and maintains the policies and procedures content of People Services intranet sites to ensure they are up to date, and uploading of documents.
* Provide advice to People Services Business Partners and other People Services colleagues on new and revised policies and procedures as a result of changes in legislation.
* Draft Line Manager Briefings to notify managers about forthcoming changes to policies and procedures and support Business Partners with implementation queries.
