Our client has a permanent vacancy for a Learning & Development Manager to support their sales team. You will accelerate market share growth by increasing the effectiveness and competitiveness of the sales team.
Role:
• Develop a strategic learning and development plan for the sales team
• Determines training requirements by studying sales and marketing strategic plans and current sales results; conferring with the sales team; reviewing results of trainer coaching; evaluating training effectiveness
• Complete sales training for all new hires and continual training for entire sales team
• Attend field visits to customers with the sales team members provide coaching to sales team as necessary. 70-80% to be spent with key account/high performers 20-30% time to be spent with low performers
• Engage in one-on-one reviews with sales team to maximize performance
• Strategize and develop new training methods to be implemented, manage external and internal suppliers of training
• Collect and interpret data to determine effectiveness of training techniques. Report findings to Sales HQ Manager
• Provide a quarterly report to RSM’s on training provided for their teams, individual feedback/scores, and future recommendations (further training, coaching areas, follow-up objectives)
• Write and publish training materials & training records
• Support other departments within the business with people development aligned to the organisation’s goals and objectives
• Demonstrate professionalism towards sensitive and confidential information
• Undertake any special projects that may be required
• Attend any relevant industry institutional conferences which either have networking value or keep productivity related knowledge up to date
• To keep up to date professional memberships (CIPD). Develop own knowledge and skills
• Submit monthly reports
Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar learning and development within a sales environment is essential.
Full UK driving licence
