We’re adding to our Resourcing Team and creating a new role for a forward-thinking Labour Manager. You will provide a resourcing support to our site teams with recruitment of our Operative workforce. We’re looking for someone who will bring a balance of creativity, focus and determination. Your role will be ensuring that there is an agreed recruitment plan in place for each section and that it is delivered to an agreed time scale.
Role requires in-house experience working with construction / civil engineering workforce, predominantly with blue-collar.
The role will involve:
Liaising with Works Managers / Foreman to assess and plan for forthcoming resource requirements.
Liaising and developing strong working relationships with Works Managers and Foreman and management through the section of works
Ensuring required resources are sourced and deployed as agreed.
Ensuring workforce deployments are compliant with legislation (HMRC, HSE, etc..)
Managing the re-certification, assessment and development of the workforce.
Identifying skilling up opportunities within the workforce potentially through further H&S qualifications, apprenticeships, etc…
Site visits to determine the suitability of resources for each different section of the project
Ensuring suitable systems are in place to track employee qualifications and their current deployment to enable efficient use of resource.About The Candidate
The successful applicant will have:
Proven labour/workforce recruitment and management experience (in-house or Agency)
Full UK Driving licence
Familiar with Civil Engineering, Construction competences and H&S certification
Strong relationship building skillsAbout The Company
